Le pantalon, c’est l’égalité. Pas avec les hommes, mais avec celles qui ont de jolies jambes. – Sonia Rykiel

L’Odyssée…

L’Odyssée de Cartier. Everyone talks about it. It has never been done before in the world of fine jewelry and the result is absolutely fantastic.

This short film celebrating the 165-year old brand is a mini masterpiece. All the key elements of Cartier’s heritage are there – the panther, the iconic creations, the red jewel case -, the brand’s atmosphere, a cinema epic… And the magic works.

An explorer spirit… It begins at the Grand Palais. The panther goes across the snowy landscapes of Saint Petersburg, meets a golden dragon along the Great Wall, ends up in an Indian palace on the back of an elephant before leaping aboard the wings of a replica of the airplane built by Brazilian aviator Santos-Dumont, and comes back to Place Vendôme, Paris.

The perspectives of the emerging markets are in favor, evidently, but the (hi)story and the essence of the brand remain intact: Cartier belongs to the great names of fine jewelry, it is a maker of dream.

Marvellous Barcelona

The recently opened Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona is absolutely gorgeous. It is modern, romantic and fresh. A genuine architectural marvel.
